Əzizəni əzizləyək

Əzizə Mustafazadənin dünənki konserti məndə xüsusi bir təəssürat oyatdı. Keçən il "Baku Jazz"a gələndə onu dinləmək imkanım olmamışdı. Amma bu dəfə yaxşı ki, oldu.

Açığı onun bu dövr ərzində musiqi ilə bu cür fəal məşğul olmağını bilmirdim. Mühacirətdə olduğundan səsi-sorağı buralara az-az gəlirid. Rəsmi saytında göstərilmiş albomların sayı 10-dur. Bu dəfə Bakıya müşayətçi bas gitaraçı və zərb alətlərində ifa edən iki avropalı ilə gəlmişdir. Özünün… davamı

Polaroid şəkillərində yaşanan tarix

mental_floss jurnalının elektron versiyasında Chris Higgins adlı blog'erin yazısı marağımı cəlb etdiyindən məqaləni tərcümə etmək qərarına gəldim:

Dünən müəmmalı bir veb səhifəsinə rast gəldim - Polaroidlər toplusu, günə bir ədəd, 1979-cu ilin 31 martından 1997-ci ilin 25 oktyabrına qədər. Müəllifin adı göstərilməyib, əlaqə məlumatı da yoxdur. Bunların mənbəyi haqqında heç bir anlayış belə yoxdur. Təbii ki, şəkillərə baxmağa başladım… davamı

Sevgi süfrəsi

Günlərin bir günü Haqq dostlarının birindən soruşurlar: “Sevgidən sözdə danışanlara onu həqiqi yaşayanlar arasında nə kimi fərq var?”.

Könlü eşqlə yanan bu Haqq dostu belə buyurur: “Gəlin gedək göstərim”.

Sualı verənlərlə birlikdə Haqq dostunun dərgahına gəlirlər.

Haqq dostu bir süfrə hazırladır, əvvəlcə bu süfrəyə sevgini dilindən əskik etməyən, amma dilindən könlünə endirə bilməyənləri dəvət edir. Çağırılanlar süfrə ətrafında əyləşirlər. Süfrəyə isti şorbalarla yanaşı, “dərviş qaşıqları” de… davamı

Henrix Böll "Körpüdə"

Heinrich Böll / An der Brücke

Tərcümə Vüsalə Rzazadənindir

Onlar ayaqlarımı müalicə edib mənə oturaq iş verdilər – yeni körpü üzərindən keçən insanları saymaq. Öz işguzar bacarıqlarını rəqəmlərlə sübuta yetirmək onlara xüsusi zövq verir. Onlar mənasız rəqəmlər yığımından, sözün tam mənasında həzz alırlar. Axşam düşəndə onları növbəti qələbədən xəbərdar etmək üçün bütün günü dinməz-söyləməz bu ağzım saat mexanizmi kimi rəgəmləri bir-birinin ardınca düzürdü.

Mən iş növbəsinin yekun göstəricisi… davamı

Thanks for the information on the education system. I was wondering, will the economic situation of Armenia, possibly cause, Armenians to immigrate to the Republic of Azerbaijan in the future?? The reason I bring this up is because, I was thinking of the territory situation, I think if the region of Karabakh as well as the border rayons, are returned to Azerbaijan, I think Armenia will attempt talks similar to Turkey, to establish economic ties for its own survival and benefits. I think Yerevan in the future, will be in such a terrible situation like Moldova, Georgia, and other poor nations that assuming Azerbaijan's economy goes up, I think Armenians will try to move as guest workers or as laborers to Azerbaijan. But I was wondering, 20 years from now, do you think the Azeri govt. will have a strong stance against them and restrict them from immigrating?? or will they condone the issues of the past, and allow them to come as workers. Someone brought this up to me, and I told the person, they will not be allowed to immigrate. If the government doesn't do anything about it, I'm sure the people will take matters into their own hand, and step in to prevent this from happening, because we saw what happened in 1918, 1992, and even the 100's of years before then. I think instead, Azerbaijan will recruit more and more Kurdish workers, since there are so many of them, and they've had a better history (compared) to Armenians in the past.

UCLA would be better if I went for the regular program, but this program was interesting, it doesn't require higher level math like Calculus, advanced physics, and things like that. It's actually the only program of its kind offered out of the other 7 or so UC's. But yeah most people, prefer UCLA, if they have the option of 2 universities, and the same major, it ranks higher, it has a better medical school, and because of LA it brings a strong attraction.

What are Universities in Azerbaijan like?? I've always wondered how it would be like for small countries, especially after 1991 and the collapse of the USSR. Are they mostly private?? Like you have to pay out of your own pockets, or do they have some govt. ones as well? I heard a lot of negative things by some angry people regarding education for elementary and h.s. But I'm sure if you are a hard worker, and get good grades you can make it to some tough universities there as well, if not maybe they travel abroad?? and come back from different universities. In Iran it gets extremely competitive. Everyone there wants to go to the University of Tehran, the best one in that country, because for govt. based universities in Iran. If you get in to a govt. paid, like that university, they pay everything for the student. Also the majority of Tehranis don't want to go to foreign cities in Iran.

But here in the U.S. even when your accepted in a govt. Govt. pays just a small amount, and you have to take a bunch of loans, unless you land major scholarships. I know the most high ranked schools like Harvard, Yale, the ones in the top 5 etc. Those students definitely get scholarships, or else they would have to pay 40,000 or more as privates are almost 2x as much for tuition.

Coming fall time, I should be attending University of California Irvine, as a psych and social behavior undergraduate. It's a bit different from regular psychology, as it leads to education, student affairs, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology, social work, human resources, health education, and social services. How is everything over there?? Have you heard about the 2 young guys who were arrested. Adnan/Emin I was quite amazed at how it actually made it's way on Al Jazeera.

Salamlar Mənım Əzız dostum!
Mən bu həftə Türkiyə gedmışdım, amma onların dıllərını duzgunla düşünmadım!
İranın siyası movzuları çoxdür, bunca hər ülkə öz diplomasiyasını ona rabıtə verır, məsələn Ərəbıstanın mühüm qəzətı dünən Musavıdən havadarlıq etmışdı! Ancaq İranda, dünyanın hər yerı kımı 2 qrup adam var: dindar və dinsız. İranda dinsız adamlar rahatsızdılər, onlar əksərən Amerika ve Avrupaya köçüb, başqası münasıbət axtarkən, İranda seçım çağında mən küçələrdə çox hıcabsız dəns edən qız görürdüm kı Azer. da onlar kımı yox... Amma Musavı özü bilmir nə deyir. Məsələn deyır Əhmədı əsliyyətı Yəhudıdır! Buncaq mən özüm Əhmədiyə səs (vote) vermədım!

Mənım işım çətındər və sərbəst vaxtım azdır. Bu günlərdə pül qazanmaq bətər çətınləşıb!

How are you man, how is everything in Baku?? I haven't been here for a long time, I'm stuck in my midterm sessions. Anything new in Baku? Economy going up and down? So I've heard Rüfət, that Kurdistan(Iraq portion) is also turning into a Dubai like area for business and money production. However, I heard Dubai itself is awful right now, a friend of mine is there right now, and he can't find a job, and he's extremely certified and bright. Here in the U.S. we had alot of foreclosures on houses, and everything is beginning to "socialize a bit", so we will mostly see less privatization, and more government controll taking action, the wealthy hate this, while the poor and middle class love it. Take care man.

E-books are hard to find. I haven't seen too many good political/govt. ones either. I woudln't call them misconceptions but more like "propaganda". But if you need any specific information on Iran, regarding a political leader, laws, Islamic codes, Foreign relations, Wars, with very specific information, I can try to research it for you, and find you websites. Sende Sagol.

Hey how are you man, how is everything in Baku. My mom just talked to my South Azeri cousin. About a week ago. He read the news and found out in Ardabil, they caught 4-5 dangerous men that were from Baku. These men were smugglers and were trying to corrupt things in South Azerbaijan as a whole, but starting with Ardabil because they are more susceptible. I'm not sure if they were sent from Elham or not but they had American Dollars and alot of Euros in their hands. Might have been a heroin bust, or selling secretive information to cause problems in North Iran. Similar situation with the Kurds of Iran, but mostly in the Mahabad city-province. However, I just came to inform you Iran has Summer 2009 elections, and most likely Mohammad Khatami will be elected. He will most likely try to be friends with U.S. and Israel. He might even end Iran's Nuclear program, so that he can develop relationships and be a puppet of Europe. Kind of weird and scary at the same time. The whole goal is for Obama and Khatami to become friends, so they can destroy Russia. Although a secular Iran would be interesting, I want Iran to still remain independent and not Westernized. I don't' want it too Islamic either. Just secularized without becoming Westernized(No Prostitution, alcohol, heroin, gangs, and corruptive activities). Well anyways man, I'll talk to you later, sende sagol
