Well, it's strange that I couldn't find an appropriate information in English about the higher education in Azerbaijan. The webpage of the Ministry of Education doesn't hold the content in English. Anyway, majority of universities are public, but they somehow independent with their private policy. we have also number of private universities and schools. British and american schools are the expensive ones (about 12.000 per year).
Don't you think that UCLA would be better? Anyway, good luck. Well, the guys have already half of their penalty. I am sure it is good for them to be in jail
Hi man. Good to hear from you. Sorry for a delayed response as I was in Germany and had limited access to internet. Well, the globe turns crazy; this crisis hits every country and hopfully Azerbaijn is not the exceptional one. We fell the recession like others do. The price for oil can't be recovered to the point that it was a year ago ($100 per barrel). As the oil revenues are the major part of the country's budget we suffer and wait until the prices go up.
Man, Happy New Year to you. Yes, they amended the constitution and since now he can be reelected more that two times. But I am not sure that armenians started to scare of him because he has become stronger. Even the army budget is bigger than the entire budget of Armenia but Armenia is always been supported by Russian.
You are right. My grandfather came to north from Ardabil in 20's and never had a chance to visit motherland until he died. He studied medicine in Baku and worked in rural areas. Those time were tough till end of 80's. Even Ustad Shahriyar was refused to visit Baku.

I said you 30% of Farsi words are origionally Turkic. Mulana was one who intered the most Turkic words to Farsi.. He was born in Uzbakistan.No Iranian can understand net Persian written by Hafez, Even Hafez Farsi poems are very difficult 2 understand. But the poems of Mulana are so easy that you think if they are composed nowadays.
Turkic had been dominant lang in Isfahan during Safavids (Now Farsi is the only lang spoken in Isfahan)
In middle age in middle east, it was believed that man is created by his father, and mother is similar to a groud which the seed is from father. ie mother does not determine ones attribute. So you may read that father of Shah Abbas was Turk,his mother was a Georgian or anything else. Mother was not important.

Iran had been a part of Az. for centuries, Qajars, Safavids, Ilkhans etc had been long lasting dynasties in Iran from Az. after 1000 AC. only Paqhlavis and Khomeini were Persians during last millenium.
You see Azeris in Iran are rather Persianized, Azeris in Az. republic are rather Russianized. Kurds in Iraq rather Arabized, Kurds in Turkey rather Turkishized. Dissolving cultures causes disadvantages.I have heard that there are parties among Anglosaxons, Franks,Spaniols etc in US. Do u ve disturbance by this issue?

I am not a racism, bcz I doubt if all my parents were just Turk. But similar to Indians in US, I want that Azeri culture should not dissolve in Persian.

We have some Kurd friends in Sanandaj ( the center of Kurdistan pronince). They can speak Azeri as well as a native Azeri. Once I said you that there is not so quarrel between different religion and nations in Iran,the wars are mostly political. Iran and Iraq had been in a 8 years war with approximately a million killed and refugees, but nowadays they are our best neibours. millions of Iranians go Iraq 4 religious purposes in Karbala and Najaf.
In Karaj most of our friends are not Azeri.
